The
finishing steps of skin care are Toning, Firming,
Moisturizing and Nourishing. Skin toning lotions
stimulate the blood supply to the skin; remove greasiness
remaining from cleansing, closes pores, refine and refresh
the skin. It also helps your skin for youthful and rejuvenated
feel delay starting wrinkles.
Rose water is the best known natural skin toner. Rose
water diluted with Mineral water (1:1) is the simplest
and a gentle Toning lotion for all type of skin except
oily skin. |

For
oily skin, rose water and cucumber juice in equal quantities
will be more effective as cucumber has an astringent
effect and helps to close the pores. Apply it gently
with cotton wool avoiding the eye and upper cheek area
every day.
For a powerful skin toner, take one tablespoon honey
and one peeled and cored apple. Pour these ingredients
in a blender and mix well. Apply it on the face and
neck like a mask and keep it on for 10-15 minutes and
wash off with cool water.

Another
popular home made toner for oily skin is Honey
and egg Toner.
Beat one egg white well, whisk in 1 tsp of honey
and add 1 tsp of lemon juice, mix well. Apply
to face and neck avoiding the delicate areas,
eye and lip. Allow to dry for 10minutes and wash
with warm water.

For
winter season you can make skin toner by mixing of 2-tablespoon
each cucumber and carrot juice. Apply on face and neck.
Allow to dry for 10-15minutes and wash with warm water.
A wide variety of toners are available in shops containing
alcohol up to 20 %.Alcohol dries the skin and harms
the soluble collagen below the outer surface of the
skin. It is thus safer to use an alcohol-free toner.
